voice can soar with intensity, hanging onto notes for dear life,
or sudddenly drop into hushed intimacy..."
Oleta is truly one of the most gifted and inspiring vocalists in contempory
music today. "Come Walk With Me" is an somewhat hard-to-find,
extraordinary album...

Gentle
Giant
"Their music is both
beautiful and challenging to the ear, sometimes so stunningly complex
that it's a bit difficult to absorb."
Gentle
Giant's music combined diverse elements from rock, classical, blues,
Renaissance music, jazz, and the avante-garde with multi-part contrapuntal
vocal harmonies galore! They were probably one of the most incredible

Kimson
Plaut
A
New York pianist/arranger, who lived in Brazil and immersed himself
in Brazilian culture. While
in Brazil, he researched the musical traditions of the Xavante Indians
and headed his own jazz groups in Recife, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
After
moving back to New York, Kimson was active in the NY Latin and Brazilian music scene. His own music fuses Brazilian rhythms (bossa nova, baião, choro, and samba) with American jazz harmony.
I am deeply saddened by his
tragic, untimely death.and
urge all to visit his site and purchase his wonderful CD.
